Update: According to reports out of Finland, Salo tore his Achilles tendon playing floor hockey and will be out at least three months, the Vancouver Sun reports. The Canucks have yet to confirm or deny the report.
Recommendation: We’ll await further details, but this obviously wouldn’t be a good situation for the 35-year-old blueliner. Numerous injuries last season—knee, eye, leg and groin—limited Salo to 68 games last season.
